Going The Whole Hog (& Hedge)

Updated: Sep 20, 2023

On our second visit in a row to the amazing Hendra Holiday Park in Newquay we stopped off at one of the first services on the A30 after leaving the M5. Its called the Hog & Hedge and they cater for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free seekers like me.

As an independent outlet they provide a genuine gluten free offering instead of just the token alternative bread or slices of cake. As we were early holiday travellers I opted for the sausage sandwich and coffee from the breakfast menu. Although the bread was a little dry (not unusual for GF options) the sandwich as a whole was very tasty. The staff are really friendly, helpful and always on hand to assist with the fast food chain style touch screen ordering system if required. The service was quick and the atmosphere and ambience is very welcoming for all especially families and dogs. The clean contemporary layout, furnishings and décor make it a great place to relax for a while or just a short break from your journey. So pay them a visit in person or online at www.hogandhedge.co.uk
